Our History

Holser & Bailey Home Entertainment Center is the oldest independent Audio/Video dealer between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Originating as a hardware store in North Santa Barbara County in 1912, our company evolved into a state-of-the-art television and audio showroom when we first opened for business in 1969 in Santa Barbara. Featuring the finest brands available, Holser & Bailey expanded to its present location in the El Mercado Center at 4141 State Street in Santa Barbara in 1978.

Holser & Bailey Home Entertainment Center has constantly focused on providing the finest products, the most knowledgeable sales staff, and the best support after the sale. All of this at prices that meet or beat the megastores. The latter has been made possible by our long-time membership in United Stores, Inc., a multi-billion-dollar buying cooperative.

Holser & Bailey has been owned and operated by George and Mary Mamalakis of Santa Barbara since 1971.
